Massive Attack

Massive Attack (Robert Del Naja "3D",Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles, Grant "Daddy G" Marshall) were formed in 1987. The trio from Bristol, England who have been widely hailed as one of the most influential bands of the 1990s.
They were the creators of what has come to be known as the "Bristol sound" or "trip-hop"
In 1987, Marshall, del Naja, and Vowles formed the creative core of Massive Attack. Signed to a record deal three years later, their 1991 debut album Blue Lines was greeted with unanimous critical acclaim, while 1994's Protection continued the artistic and commercial success of its predecessor (both albums sold over a million units worldwide). The albums featured contributions from Horace Andy and Tracey Thom of Everything But The Girl; also appearing were Nicolette and fellow Bristolian Tricky, both now successful in their solo careers.
Massive fans should also check out the releases on their own record label MELANKOLIC.
